3rd party Test Information
We can administer the skills segment of the driving test at our facility. The test will be administered by a PennDOT certified examiner in our dual-control vehicle for safety reasons. Generally there is a waiting period of 3 to 5 days to take a test. Please email us a photocopy of your valid learners permit at pghtesting@gmail.com to make a reservation (3rd party test only)! After sending us your permit you must call us to reserve a date and time slot for testing so that we can register the test with PennDOT. There are no walk in tests! For more information or to schedule your test, please call the Rogers Driving School Scheduling department at 412-931-9000. Certain restrictions may apply.
We do not give permit test at Rogers Driving School. Permit test is only given by DMV center.

All students must have valid permit and for lesson and test at Rogers or DMV. Under 18 years old must have signed & notarized parent / Guardian certification form (DL-180C) to take driving test at any location.
Our goal is to produce safe drivers. Testing at Rogers or DMV, all test results are final - pass or fail testing fee is non-refundable. Teenagers under 18yrs old must wait 6 months after the permit was issued in order to take the drivers test. Please review permit to check the eligibility date, as you cannot take the test prior to the eligibility date with Rogers or the DMV. In the event the customer sets up test with Rogers before they are eligible, Rogers will not be able to give the test and we will not be responsible if the customer sets this up in error. It is the customer’s responsibility for reviewing their permit. We must follow the rule according to PennDOT.

The Rogers Driving School was first licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education in 1969.
Since then, the school has been providing both the certified theory and the behind the wheel phases
of the approved driver education program for the Greater Pittsburgh area.
Teenage students receive certificates of completion after each phase of the program is completed.
These combined certificates may qualify students for possible driver education insurance discounts
(Please check with your individual insurance company) and full driving privileges at age 17 ½ .
However, the main mission of the school has been to train competent and safe defensive drivers.
Over the years the school has taught thousands of teenage and adult students defensive driving techniques. We have provided the PA, state approved, driver education program to dozens of public and private schools.
All Rogers Driving School employees go through continuous and intensive background checks and screening: including FBI, Child Abuse, State Police checks, as well as their entire driving record being reviewed. Most of our instructors posses teaching or graduate degrees. Since we have been around for 50th years our reputation is unparalleled, as testament by the multiple generations of students that we have serviced. We are licensed by the PA Department of Education and have been certified by PennDOT as a 3rd party driving test provider since 2016. Since then over 2500 students have successfully taken their driving tests at Rogers Driving School.
It has also provided driver evaluation and improvement programs to various corporations, government agencies, nonprofit organizations and medical patients.

ATTENTION: When paying with Credit Card
We take Visa, Master, Discover and American Express cards only. If you want to make payment with credit card, payment must be processed when you sign up for the lesson. Instructors do not have credit card machines to process the payment. Credit card processing agreement must be signed & sent to us in order to process credit card payment. A 3.5% percent fee will be added to the credit card payment. Please click to download the credit card processing agreement. Our credit card system will not accept prepaid debit card: Clover, paypal, netspend, Greendot, Cashapp, or any prepaid debit card from a Credit Union. If you decide to pay for lesson with credit card please call us at the office 7days before your lesson schedule. WE DO NOT ACCEPT international credit cards. Credit cards must be issued in USA.
ATTENTION: Refund Policy
There will be no refunds issued once a lesson or test has occurred. If a prepaid lesson or test is cancelled according to the 48hour cancelation policy guidelines, we can issue a refund for the cost of the lesson or test.
- If the lesson/test was paid with a check, we will issue a refund in the form of a check once the original check has cleared (which may take 4-5 weeks from the date of deposit).
- If the lesson/test was paid with a credit or debit card, we can issue a refund back to the card- minus a $30 refund processing fee and minus the 3% processing fee- OR we can issue a refund in the form of a check, minus the 3% processing fee.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you need to cancel your appointment, you must notify the office at least 48 hours (2 business days) in advance of the appointment. The office is closed on Saturday and Sunday so weekends are not included in the time needed for cancellation notices. A first-time cancellation less than 48 hours in advance is subject to a $53 fee. For a second time cancellation less than 48 business hours in advance, the full amount of the lesson fee will be applied. You cannot text or email to cancel or reschedule. All schedulings of lessons, tests and cancellations must be done through the Rogers Driving School Scheduling Department at 412-931-9000! Instructors do not set up the lessons or cancel appointments. NSF Checks will be charged a $45.00 processing fee plus any bank fees.
